The Immersive Room was open from April 2023 to May 2024, and served as the Museum of Science’s prototyping space for digital immersive experiences. The room was equipped with three projection walls, floor projection, and interactive tracking capabilities. In partnership with Moment Factory, the museum created two unique multi-sensory educational experiences, DALL-E and Mission: Mars.
My role in the Immersive Room project was to create an exhibit logo and supporting signage that could embody the variety of immersive experiences cycling through the space.
As we developed our initial DALL-E and Mission: Mars experiences, I also provided graphic support and art direction.
The DALL-E experience allowed visitors to play with the AI-art platform and send their creations to a shared gallery.
Mission: Mars encouraged experiential learning as visitors made unique discoveries using a flashlight tool across an immersive Mars landscape.
ReRooted: What's hair got to do with it? was produced in the Museum and explored black hair culture through a lens of science, history, and culture.
